its quite a good start, you use good english. And you brake up the paragraphs properly. But really its not my type of story to be honest. What genre or type of story are you writing?

State of Tennessee, not state of Tennessee. A common fault that will see an agent throw your work into the trash-can. First line, too!!!!!
