Check out Black Books. You and I like the same shows so this should be right up your alley. It's a British show. I think you can watch episodes on hulu or google. If you've never watched Black Adder I suggest that as well.

Parks and Recreation is run by two guys who ran The Office. The original UK version of The Office is also very good. Plus it doesn't take long to watch. It's about as long as one season of a tv show here.

Since you seem to really like HBO comedies (I do too), I recommend Bored To Death and The Ricky Gervais Show.
Another great one that's under the radar is Arrested Development (it is no longer on the air, but all seasons are available on DVD and they show reruns on IFC). I'm also pretty into 30 Rock, Parks And Recreation, Community, Important Things With Demetri Martin, and The Colbert Report.
